MUTEK and the Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science, and Technology are honoured to present the North American festival debut of CineChamber, from May 22 to June 3, 2012 at Excentris (Montreal) in the context of the 13th edition of the MUTEK festival.

CineChamber is a 10-screen installation lab site for trailblazing panoramic performance built by Recombinant Media Labs (RML). This curated, nomadic intermodal platform is made possible by the artistic direction of Naut Humon plus tech-operations directors Vance Galloway and Barry Threw.

Recombinant Media Labs was founded to research the qualities and artistic potential of spatial media synthesis. It does so by means of experiential engineering, or exploring processes that expand the aesthetic and technological boundaries of immersive installation, surround cinema, and multi-channel audio-visual environments. RML acts as producer and presenter of intermodal artworks, residencies, and concerts in the nomadic theatre. [More...]
