 REMINDER: Researchers in Residence Program

The deadline for the submission of research proposals for the Researchers in Residence Program is August 31, 2005.

The Daniel Langlois Foundation is offering two research grants to allow researchers to work at the Foundation's Centre for Research and Documentation (CR+D) in Montreal. Individuals wishing to submit a research proposal should read the program guidelines carefully and send their proposal by mail or e-mail prior to August 31, 2005.

 REMINDER: New and revised programs

Strategic Grants for Organisations Program: Canadian non-profit organisations as well as those based in countries listed as eligible may submit proposals at any time after September 30. An online application form will be available as of August 15, 2005, and must be used to submit a proposal.

Research and Experimentation Residencies in Montreal for Professional Artists from Emerging Countries or Regions: Individuals who are nationals of a country listed as eligible may submit an application for a research and experimentation residency. Applications must be sent by mail or e-mail prior to September 30, 2005.

We are pleased to present the second phase of the research project led by Ricardo Dal Farra as part of the Foundation's Researchers in Residence Program:

From a selection of 30 musical works, you now have access to biographies, remarks, scores, audio and video interviews, and documentary photographs. [More...]

The indexing of the collection in the CR+D database is now complete. It is also possible to listen to 2,264 digital audio files and view almost 10 hours of interviews at the CR+D facility in Montreal. [More...]

The Daniel Langlois Foundation's purpose is to further artistic and scientific knowledge by fostering the meeting of art and science in the field of technologies. The Foundation seeks to nurture a critical awareness of technology's implications for human beings and their natural and cultural environments, and to promote the exploration of aesthetics suited to evolving human environments.
