Diego Luzuriaga (Ecuador)

Composer Diego Luzuriaga was born in Loja, Ecuador, into a family of twelve children. His composition teachers were Gerardo Guevara, Mesias Maiguashca, and Yoshihisa Taira. He has received several international awards including a fellowship from the Guggenheim Foundation in 1993. He lives now in Philadelphia with his wife and three children.
