About this composition:

Both the general idea and the morphology of the composition issue of linguistical connotations of one of the meanings of the English verb SET IN (it is a phrasal verb), which means: "to begin and is likely to continue".

There is almost permanent evolution and/or continuity in the development of the piece but at the same time such evolution is uncertain, doubtful and even ambiguous.

The timbres belong to a YAMAHA TG77 tone generator, which are mostly factory-preset-based, and were sequenced using the VOYETRA SEQUENCER PLUS GOLD for MS- DOS. Only five tracks of the sequencer were utilized. Since the only software used was the mentioned sequencer is that the conception of the composition is rather simple. SET IN is a tape alone electroacoustic work and was totally produced in the Laboratory of Electroacoustic Music of the Music Department of the National University of Córdoba during September and October 1994.
"Set In" was premmiered in the "X Semana Nacional de los Medios y la Música Electroacústica", which was held in Buenos Aires at La Recoleta Cultural Centre in October 1994. "Set In" has also been performed in Brazil, Columbia and Cuba.
