About this composition:

Composed for tenor sax, violin, cello, percussion and piano, plus solo guitar. If available, some extra string player can be used playing the 'drones for extra instrumentalists'. The optional tape part duplicate the sounds of some of these instruments, particularly the 'extra strings' parts. The digital synthesizer, Synclavier II, was used to create and process the electronic sounds.

Done at the EMS, McGill University. The piece was commissioned by the Academie Estivale international de Bourges [France], for guitarist Alvaro Pierri. Premiere: during a GEMS concert at Pollack Hall, April 4, 1985, with Alvaro Pierri, guitar and GEMS, conducted by alcides lanza.
