Very Nervous System: Documentary Collection

Video-Cued Recalls

Video-cued recall is a method of recording a verbal description of an experience and accompanying film footage. The participants are videotaped while experiencing the artwork. They are then immediately taken to a separate room, where they are shown the video and asked to simultaneously describe their experience in as much detail as possible. The full-length versions begin with a video-cued recall report and are followed by semi-structured interviews in which the interviewer probes deeper into the experience of the participant.
