Oboro plays a central role in Montreal's media art ecology. For twenty years, Oboro has been a meeting and discussion space for artists, organizations and interest groups from diverse disciplinary horizons and communities.

The Audio Art and Sound Creation Axis seeks to consolidate audio art and sound creation as strategic and development axes at the very heart of Oboro's new media laboratory's activities. Its goal is to provide a range of activities and services, in a continuous and progressive manner, as well as regular audio art and sound creation programming.
