Children and Communication (1971)

Children and Communication, 1971
This activity, which was part of the Project Outside Art program, was designed to introduce schoolchildren to new communication technologies. The artist Robert Whitman developed a series of stations equipped with teleprinters and telephones, which the children could use at leisure. These stations were set up in the north and south ends of New York, thereby linking two areas of the city and their respective communities.
