White Circle was a large-scale temporary public artwork featured in the Montreal Festival of Light 2001. Displayed was a very large image of a figure running in 60 centimeters of snow. The image display device was created with a 16 x 12 grid of 192 regular 35-watt light bulbs with a diffusing screen about 50 centimeters in front of the bulbs. The work also included a soundtrack of footsteps crunching through the snow. (J.C.)
