Diana and James, semi-structured interview (full length audio file):

James, an engineer, and Diana, a scientist, both in their 60s, describe how they worked out, in great detail, the functionality of the work by watching others. Diana likens the work to poetry generating programmes she has seen. They talk about the playfulness and whimsy of the work. They explain why they themselves were not tempted to interact with it, having been brought up in a culture where one does not touch art.

Produced by the Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science, and Technology; interviewer: Lizzie Muller, Raphaƫlle Aubin. Interview conducted October 2007 at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
