S.S. Ahima Band, Osagyefo Nti (1958).

Audio document (30 sec. excerpt).

This is a song of praise dedicated to Ghana's first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. It recounts the story that all was going well for Ghana with him at the helm. "Osagyefo" was the title bestowed on him as the dynamic leader for Ghana's independence from Great Britain in 1957. "Osagyefo" is a Twi word meaning redeemer.
