Los Ojos de mis Sueños, for tape (1984).

I composed this piece in September 1984 at the IPEM studios in Gent, Belgium. It was at the end of my first year of music studies in Paris, when the late composer and teacher Jose Bergmahns invited me to spent a couple of weeks at his house in Gent, after arranging for me a fellowship at the IPEM studios to compose an electronic music piece. It was my first experience in a professional studio. I used the synthesizers and generators in a very instinctive way, the way in which I would compose an instrumental or vocal piece. I used my own screams as sound source, maybe trying to liberate my inner creativity and strength after a year of strong cultural shock, away from my mother land.
