José Maranzano (Argentina)


José Maranzano (born in Santiago del Estero, 1940) was among the group of composers studying at CLAEM - Di Tella Institute of Buenos Aires, Argentina, during 1969 and 1970.

During the 70s he was part of the directive group of CICMAT and later director of Centro Cultural Ciudad de Buenos Aires, which changed its name for Centro Cultural Recoleta after some years.

Among other works Maranzano composed "Mnemón" for tape in 1970, realized at CLAEM; and "Memento", for orchestra and tape, in 1975.
