About this composition:

Argos is my first electroacoustic composition. It was produced in 1988 in the Laboratory of Electroacoustic Music (LME) of the National University of Córdoba (Argentina) using a YAMAHA DX7 synthesizer and a REVOX A77 tape recorder. There was no computer usage, everything was done manually. All timbres and sound materials were created from scratch employing FM synthesis.

The compositional approach is the so-called "non-evolutive mobility", which means that in the foreground there is always movement but in the background everything remains quiet. I tried to use that approach in a personal manner by creating estatical environments and by using high frequency pitches of short duration.

Argos has been performed in several concerts devoted to electroacoustic music, including the "XIII Semana Nacional de la Música Electroacústica", which was celebrated in Buenos Aires in 1997.
