About this composition:

Chaos Metamorphosis.

According to Hesiod, mythology begins with Chaos, the name of the shapeless mass whose appearance could not be described as there was no light by which it could be seen. Chaos has been called the oldest of the gods. The offspring of Chaos and his wife Nyx or Nox were Erebus (Darkness), and the Aether (Light) and Hemera (Day). From Aether and Hemera sprang Gaea (Earth) who created
Uranus (Heaven). They became the parents of twelve gigantic children called Titans, known as the first race, whose brothers were the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires.

All sounds in this piece are derived from transformations of the one bass-flute sound using Paul Lansky's Cmix and rt software.

Applications used in this piece: Flange, Lir, Place.
