Generative Systems began as an “embryo project” in 1970, involving experimentation with diverse imaging technologies and collaborative modes of discovery. From the start, the project assumed a fluid and open-ended dynamic, providing participants direct access to a wide range of industrial equipment, personnel and production techniques that had traditionally remained off limits to academic study.
