Quick Time VR Residency

The residency program proposed by Oboro was dedicated to the creation, production, and dissemination of artistic projects using QuickTime VR. The only artist-run centre in Montreal to have cultivated an expertise with this technology, Oboro has pre-selected artists to come and work with the already established community of specially trained technologists and artists in the centre.

The invited artists - Valérie Walker, Archer Pechawis, Christine Stewart and André Clément - were encouraged to examine notions of links, networks and community, and their relationship with the body, mind and identity. They were in residency from May 2000 until March 2001 and the results of the residencies are housed on Oboro's web site.
