"El peregrinar de la araña", the title of the work, means: the traveling of the spider.

The conception of the piece is based on a typical navigation through the World Wide Web of the Internet. There are different "pages" -starting from the Home Page- through which the navigation takes place. The navigation within each page as well as the change from one to another page represents the movements of the spider (the navigator, i.e. the user of the WWW browser) through the web (the different Web pages). Small and long pages are explored, existing large stops and likewise sudden abandons from one page to another to briefly come back to the Home Page at the end of the work.

The composition was produced at the Laboratory of Electroacoustic Music of the Music Department of the National University of Córdoba in 1995. The timbres belong to a YAMAHA TG77 tone generator, which are mostly preset-based, and were sequenced using a VOYETRA SEQUENCER PLUS GOLD for MS-DOS. Only eight tracks of the sequencer were utilized. All the computer process was realised with a humble compatible IBM-PC 286. The final Master recording was done in a TASCAM DA-30 DAT recorder.

"El peregrinar de la Araña" was premmiered in the "XI Semana Nacional de los Medios y la Música Electroacústica", which was held in 1995 at La Recoleta Cultural Centre in Buenos Aires. It has also been performed in the EuCuE concert series organized by Concordia University in Montreal in 1996 and it is part of the CEC CD called PRESENCE.
