À propos de cette composition :

This piece was created as a collaboration with the Chilean theatre group ‘Telón al Sur‘ inspired in the play JOJO by Michael Ende. The first part, the dream, is a rhythmic superposition of different meters under the same beat. Synthesized flutes, Andes zampoñas and voices from actors are used to create circular rhythmic variations that separate and re-group in continuous cycles.

The second part, The machines, uses one of the dramatic situations of the text by Ende in order to create the chaotic situation of the devastation of the circus. Voices of actors and sounds of objects clashing in conjunction with a prepared piano used as a rhythmic base with small tempo variations of the same recording slowed down and speeded up.

Piece created at: Universidad Austral, Chile.
