Letter to Dale Lynch
The cooperation of businesses involved in the creation of new communications tools designed for commercial use was integral to the development and success of Generative Systems classes. By making industrial instruments, personnel and techniques available to students of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the program offered a viable model of education/industry collaboration, a partnership that challenged traditional approaches to art instruction and analysis.
